Step into the exciting world of leadership with our Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program! Designed for dynamic teens aged 13 to 15, this immersive experience is your gateway to honing invaluable skills while making a real impact every day.
As a CIT, you'll embark on a journey of personal and professional growth, learning essential techniques in behavior management, team-building, communication, and activity leadership. Under the guidance of our CIT Coordinator, you'll have the thrilling opportunity to assist group counselors, lead activities, and collaborate on special events, all while gaining hands-on experience that sets you apart.

You can register for more than 1 session this summer.
Participants will rotate through all areas of our programs (swimming, basketball, tennis, arts & crafts and half day). Please come prepared each day with water, appropriate bathing suit, and sneakers.
We will send out a CIT Interest Form a week before the program starts. This form should be submitted no later than the Friday before the scheduled start date.
No refunds or household account credits will be issued if withdrawal is requested less than 10 business days prior to the program start date.
A $10 administrative fee will be applied for all withdrawals/cancellations or transfers from a program.
General Information
- CIT's will receive hands–on experience working with children.
- You must purchase a Recreation Pass before registering.
- Registration is available on-line only.
- This program may be canceled due to the weather at the discretion of the Recreation Dept. Make-ups will only be offered if more than 2 days have been cancelled within the session (No make-ups will be offered for 1 or 2 canceled days within a session). Director will announce when make-ups are held. Refunds will not be offered due to a participant’s inability to partake in the scheduled make-up. Refunds, credits or pro-rating will not be issued due to a participants inability to attend during regular session dates or make-up dates.
